T. Denoeux, Laureat at "1000 talents Shanghai" program

Thierry Denoeux, professor at the Heudiasyc laboratory of Compiègne University of Technology (UTC) and Labex Scientific Coordinator, is the laureate of the prestigious "1000 talents" program of the autonomous municipality of Shanghai.

This program recognizes and recruits leading international experts in scientific research, innovation and entrepreneurship. It also strengthens innovation and international competitiveness in China. In 2010, it becomes the highest award given under China's National Talent Development Plan.

Following this appointment, T. Denoeux will hold a "joint" professorship between UTC and Shanghai University (SHU). The "joint" (or invited) faculty positions between UTs and SHUs constitute one of the modalities for strengthening the UT's presence in the Sino-European University of Technology of Shanghai University (UTSEUS), both under the angle of the lessons that the development of a research structured around some axes.

In this context, T. Denoeux, in collaboration with the Heudiasyc and Roberval laboratories of the UTC, is developing a research project on the "data science for cyberphysical systems", a subject related to the theme chosen for the future master's degree in computer science 'UTSEUS.

Finally, T. Denoeux has set up and coordinates a new UV (ML01 Machine learning) dispensed for the first time in the spring of 2019 for Chinese and French students from the UTSEUS, open to end-of-Bachelor or early-year students.
